Novarex offers its customers a professional technical writing service for the development of user manuals, web site content, APIs (Application Program Interfaces) and application notes. We also edit, update and maintain our customers' existing documents. We strive to help end users quickly come to grips with our customers' products by combining clear and consistent presentation with straightforward language and a complete explanation of all the associated technical terms and abbreviations.

Technical writing brings together two basically different skills: the ability to write and the ability to understand technical products. In addition, a technical writer must have a likeable personality to be able to discover information while understanding the needs of the expert imparting it, and a technical editor must be able to advise a writer about ways of improving their document without dictating rules. While these skills are different, several characteristics are essential to achieve them:

An eye for detail: Manuals and other documents written by Novarex are clear and precise. We don't assume that there are no mistakes, and check our output thoroughly for accuracy in content and language. When editing, we notice ambiguities and language difficulties, as well as inconsistencies with the software or hardware being documented.

Noticing the little things: No problem is too small to be addressed. An accurate and complete manual gives users confidence in the product they are using, and encourages them to use the manual as a basic resource of relevant information.

Ability to write simply: Whatever the level of the users reading the documentation, they want clear, simple instructions for performing tasks, and clear, comprehensible explanations of concepts.

Knowing what to include: At Novarex, we realize the importance of knowing our audience. We plan our manuals according to the level of the audience, and always have the user in mind when deciding what information to include and what should be omitted.

Ability to organize information: We recognize the importance of organizing information so that users can find it easily. This involves arranging the information under clear and concise headings, as well as including a comprehensive table of contents, index and glossary.

Having a feeling for languages: We write our documents in English, and have no trouble adapting them for American or English markets. We also have a knowledge of other languages, and are able to point out discrepancies in translations. We are fluent in spoken and written Hebrew. We converse comfortably with Hebrew-speaking employees, and understand specifications written in Hebrew. Often, we find our knowledge of Hebrew useful in understanding English specifications written by Hebrew speakers.
